NFL's response to Florida AG clarifies diversity hiring policies

Batesville Bulldogs defeated Rushville Lions 6-1 in EIAC baseball, with Brayden Maple pitching 7 innings and contributing to the scoring.
Batesville's Brayden Maple limited visiting Rushville to three hits as the Bulldogs knocked off the Lions 6-1 Monday in EIAC baseball action.
Maple pitched 7.0 innings, allowing one earned run on three hits and one walk while striking out three.
Maple's single to center field opened the scoring in the game as Noah Weigel scored. Rylan Yeager singled to left field to bring Maple in to score.
Rushville got on the board in the top of the second inning. Grant Cameron singled to left field to score Josh Cowan to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Batesville's Maple scored on a wild pitch in the third inning. In the fourth inning, Breston Blessing's sacrifice fly scored Jake Schornick. Weigel reached on an error allowing Jackson Elston to score and Tiago Batta scored on a wild pitch to make the final 6-1.
Batesville finished with seven hits. Maple and Yeager both had two singles and one RBI. Ronan Post and Carson Meyer both had a single. Blessing added a single and RBI. Weigel had the other RBI.
For the Lions, Cameron had a single and RBI. Abel Coon and Trent Smith each singled. On the mound for the Lions, Kaceik Lunsford pitched 3.1 innings, allowing four earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two. Casey Thompson pitched 2.2 innings, allowing two hits and one walk.
East Central 8, Greensburg 5
Host Greensburg held a 5-4 lead through three innings against East Central Monday. The Trojans tied the game with a run int he fourth inning and took the lead with three runs in the fifth inning en route to the 8-5 victory.
East Central scored four runs in the top of the first inning. The Pirates matched that in the bottom of the inning. Greensburg's Patrick Robbins doubled to right field to score Colt McCalvin, Ethan Smith and Hayden Ramsey. Ethan Bishop then drove in Robbins with a single to left field.
Robbins drove in another run in the fifth inning when his sacrifice fly scored Ramsey to give Greensburg a 5-4 lead.
Offensively for Greensburg, Smith had a triple. Robbins tallied a double and four RBIs. Bishop added a single and one RBI.
Luke Hoeing pitched 4.2 innings for Greensburg, allowing seven earned runs on six hits and seven walks while striking out four. Smith pitched 2.1 innings, allowing two walks while striking out four.
Tuesday, the Pirates defeated Union County 12-2 in six innings.
On the mound, Chance Richards pitched 3.0 innings, allowing two earned runs on four hits and six walks while striking out two. Patrick Robbins pitched 3.0 innings, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out one.
Greensburg had three extra base hits, including a home run and double by Colt McCalvin and a triple by Ethan Smith. McCalvin drove in three runs. Zayden Miller, Logan Meyer and Walsman all had two RBIs.
The final score was Batesville Bulldogs 6, Rushville Lions 1.
Brayden Maple was the standout pitcher, allowing only three hits and one earned run over 7 innings.
Batesville scored their runs through a combination of hits, errors, and wild pitches, including contributions from Maple, Weigel, and Blessing.
Rushville scored their only run in the top of the second inning.

South Decatur 12, Morristown 1
On the road at Morristown, South Decatur allowed just two hits and one run en route to the 12-1 victory.
Cayden Drake pitched all five innings for South, allowing one earned run on two hits while striking out eight.
At the plate, Corey Nugent, Carter Tull, Grady Scudder, Drake Scaggs, JP Scudder and Brody Bolton all had two singles. Grady Scudder, Scaggs, JP Scudder, Brayden Gerrian and Bolton all drove in two runs.
Lawrenceburg 10, North Decatur 5
The Tigers of Lawrenceburg doubled up visiting North Decatur Tuesday by the final of 10-5.
North finished with five hits. Henry Kinker finished with a pair of singles. Matthew Fields doubled and drove in two runs. Grayson Downey added a single and RBI. Eli Trenkamp had an RBI and Wyatt Reisman had the other single.
On the hill, Fields pitched 3.0 innings, allowing three earned runs on two hits and eight walks while striking out four. Trenkamp pitched 3.0 innings, allowing one earned run on four hits and one walk while striking out three.
