In a contest across the river, the Green Bobcatsâ baseball program took down the West Carter Cometsâ baseball program in a matchup that was held in Olive Hill, Ky. Thursday evening.
Jon Knapp led Green by going 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI, a walk and a run scored while Kase McIntyre and Riddick Jenkins, who combined to throw six-hit baseball in the win, struck out six batters between them as well while allowing just two earned runs, went 1-for-3 and 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored, respectively.
Green took the lead for good in the top of the seventh as Noah McMackinâs RBI single scored Knapp for what ended up being the game-winning run. McMackin went 1-for-3 with three RBI including the game-winning hit.
Mason Neal (1-for-2, walk, run scored), Gabe Blevins (1-for-3, walk, two runs scored) and Uriah Satterfield (1-for-4) all joined the hit column for the Bobcats in the win.
Northwest 17, Western Pike 7 (F/5)
Behind 12 hits and a combined 13 runs between the fourth and fifth innings of action, the Northwest Mohawksâ baseball program was able to claim a 17-7 win over the Western Pike Indiansâ baseball program, moving one step closer toward capturing at least a share of the SOC II crown with a win Thursday evening.
Relief pitcher Austin Smith was huge as Smith not only struck out five batters across three innings in a one-hit relief outing, but went 2-for-3 at the plate as well with an RBI and two runs scored to boot in the contest.
Chase Kingrey, Brady Mason and Braxton Burris combined to go 6-for-10 with two triples, five RBI and six runs scored while Wesyn Lang went 1-for-3 with a walk, a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in the contest to boot.
Peyton Wolfe (1-for-4, RBI, two runs scored), Aidden Armbrister (1-for-2, two runs scored) and Chandler Wyrick (1-for-2, two walks, run scored) also reached the hit column for Northwest in the game.
Notre Dame 17, Eastern Pike 4 (F/5)
Behind a Notre Dame offense that produced 17 runs on 16 hits, the Titans were able to claim a mercy-rule win over Eastern Pike, scoring 12 runs between the fourth and fifth innings en route to grabbing a 17-4 triumph over the Eastern Pike Eaglesâ baseball program in Beaver Thursday evening.
Between the quintet of Sawyer Rutman, Luke Cassidy, Ethan Kingrey, Warren Kelly and Connor Estep, Notre Dame went 13-for-16 with a triple, four doubles, 12 RBI and 11 runs scored in the game. Estep also went the distance on the mound, striking out nine batters while the Titan defense failed to commit an error in the contest.
Bryce McGraw (1-for-4, RBI, two runs scored), Luke Hamilton (1-for-4, walk, two RBI, two runs scored) and Jaxon Stombock (1-for-3, double, two RBI, two runs scored) led the Titansâ output in the contest.

Behind a complete game three-hitter from Rylynn Montgomery and nine hits from six different Lady Mohawks, the Northwest softball program was able to claim a 15-2 win over the Western Indiansâ softball program Thursday evening in McDermott.
Montgomery, who struck out eight batters and walked only one inside the circle, walked three times and also scored three times at the plate while the trio of Kamryn Journey, Audrina Brewer and Lilly Wolfenbarker combined to go 6-for-8 with a double, four RBI and six runs scored in the contest.
Kendra Bostwick (1-for-2, two walks, two RBI, two runs scored), Joshline Sanford (1-for-1, two walks, RBI, two runs scored) and Riley Pertuset (1-for-1, two walks, four RBI, two runs scored) rounded out the Northwest production.
South Webster 10, Oak Hill 0 (F/5)
Behind a complete game two-hitter from South Websterâs Jaiden White, the Lady Jeeps scored a mercy-rule victory over rival Oak Hill in a 10-0 five-inning triumph over the Lady Oaks Thursday evening.
White, a Rio Grande signee, struck out nine batters and only walked one en route to her two-hitter on Thursday. White also went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored at the plate as well.

Behind a 4-for-4 outing at the dish from Clayâs Cade Munion, the Panthers were able to take home a SOC I triumph over New Boston Glenwood, winning by a 20-0 margin in five innings on Wednesday evening in New Boston.
Munion ultimately posted a walk, a double, three RBI and three runs scored to lead the charge, while Aidyn Schackart went 2-for-2 with two RBI for Clay as well.
Evan Rider (1-for-2, walk, RBI, two runs scored), Noah Woods (1-for-2, two runs scored), Jackson Hannan (1-for-3, RBI, run scored), Braxton Jones (1-for-3, walk, three RBI), Bryce Whitley (1-for-3, two runs scored), Derick Oliver (1-for-2, four runs scored) and Kaine Carrington (1-for-1, two walks, two runs scored) led Clay offensively in the contest.
Woods, Jones and Oliver also combined to throw a no-hitter in the contest for Clay, with the trio striking out 12 batters and only walking one in the win.

Behind a complete game four-hitter from Green pitcher Brennan Renison and hits from eight Bobcats in the lineup, the Green Bobcatsâ baseball program was able to claim an 11-1 victory over the Western Indiansâ baseball program in five innings on Wednesday evening in Franklin Furnace.
Jon Knapp led the way for Green by going 3-for-4 with four RBI at the plate while Riddick Jenkins joined Knapp in the multi-hit column, going 2-for-4, with two RBI and a run scored to boot. Renison, who didnât allow an earned run in his time on the hill, went 1-for-3 at the plate as well.

Between Levi Shepherd, Chase Kingrey, Aidden Armbrister, Brevin Staggs and Austin Smith, those five individuals combined to go 12-for-16 with two doubles, seven RBI and 14 runs scored between them. Burris, who struck out nine batters in his complete game effort on the mound, aided matters by going 1-for-4 at the plate and scoring three runs himself.
Wesyn Lang (1-for-4, RBI, run scored), Peyton Wolfe (1-for-3, two RBI, run scored) and Aiden Moore (1-for-1, double, run scored) rounded out the Northwest lineup.
Portsmouth 9, Coal Grove 3
Behind a five-run top of the seventh, the Portsmouth Trojansâ baseball program was able to pull away late and score a crucial Ohio Valley Conference win, as Portsmouth picked up a 9-3 victory over Coal Grove Wednesday evening in Coal Grove.
Jacob Roth and Trevin Brooks led the way as their combined efforts on the mound were huge for the Trojans. Together, the pair struck out 10 batters and allowed only one earned run. Roth also went 4-for-5 at the plate with a double, three RBI and two runs scored while Brooks went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and a run scored to boot.
Camron Williams (2-for-4, two RBI), Eli Roth (2-for-4) and Owen Wells (2-for-4, two RBI, run scored) also had multi-hit outings while Braxton Carr (1-for-4, run scored) and Logan Adkins (1-for-3, two runs scored) rounded out the offensive performance for Portsmouth in the game.
SOFTBALL

Behind a complete game three-hitter from Elin Shaw and 12 hits from seven different players, the Clay Panthersâ softball program was able to claim a 12-0 victory over the New Boston Glenwood Tigersâ softball program Wednesday evening in New Boston.
Shaw, who struck out nine batters and walked only one in her complete game performance, also went 1-for-4 at the plate with three runs scored.
Alongside Shaw, the trio of Alayna Shepherd, Maddie Penix and Madison Carver combined to go 7-for-9 with a walk, a double, nine RBI and four runs scored in the game.
Heidi Smith (1-for-4, RBI), Zoey Moore (1-for-3, walk, RBI), Mia Lunsford (1-for-3, walk, two runs scored) and Alaina Blackburn (1-for-1, walk, two runs scored) rounded out the Clay contingent.

Behind a complete game three-hitter and eight strikeouts from Baylee Bridges to go along with nine runs combined in the fourth and fifth innings of play, the Green Bobcatsâ softball program was able to claim a 14-3 triumph over the East Tartansâ softball program Wednesday evening in Franklin Furnace.
Bridges didnât walk a batter over her five innings of work and allowed just one earned run in her time in the circle. Addy Brown, Aliya Bradley and Kayleigh Evans helped Bridgesâ cause by going 6-for-7 between them with three doubles, six RBI and six runs scored in the contest.
Taylor Patten (1-for-3, run scored), Jayden Neal (1-for-3, run scored), Addy Christian (1-for-4, run scored), Adree Bradley (1-for-1, run scored) and Mattie Adkins (1-for-1, two RBI) rounded out the hit column for Green.

Behind a complete game two-hitter from Kamryn Journey and hits from every Northwest batter in the lineup, the Northwest Mohawksâ softball program was able to claim an 18-0 victory over the South Gallia softball program Wednesday evening in South Gallia.
Northwest, who notched eight extra base hits in the contest, had five players with multi-hit performances. That quintet â Lauren Copp, Lilly Wolfenbarker, Rylynn Montgomery, Abigail Farmer and Joshline Sanford â went 11-for-17 with seven doubles, 11 RBI and 11 runs scored in the game.
Journey struck out eight batters and walked just two inside the circle and went 1-for-4 at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored, while Audrina Brewer went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored to round out the winning effort for the Lady Mohawks.
Notre Dame 9, Thornville Sheridan 2
Behind another destructive performance that included two home runs from standout slugger Alayla Soard, the Notre Dame Titansâ softball program ripped off a 9-2 triumph over the Thornville Sheridan Lady Generals Wednesday evening in Portsmouth.
Soard, along with Ava Rush, were the story of Wednesdayâs triumph as the duo combined to allow just seven hits while striking out nine batters in their pitching appearances.
At the plate, Soard went 2-for-3 with a walk, two home runs, three RBI and three runs scored from the No. 2 spot in the batting order, while Rush went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI, completing a monstrous day for the duo.
Jaysa Bryant (1-for-4, triple), Maycee Ford (1-for-3, RBI, run scored), Kate Entler (1-for-3, double, walk, RBI), Lyndsey Schaefer (1-for-2, RBI, run scored) and Kennedy Lyon (1-for-2, double, walk, RBI, run scored) all reached the hit column for Notre Dame in the win.

Behind a complete game one-hitter from Kendyl Christman with 13 strikeouts and a Valley lineup where seven different players combined for 10 hits in the contest, the Valley Indiansâ softball program was able to claim a 6-0 victory over the South Webster Jeepsâ softball program Wednesday evening in South Webster.
Continuing to enjoy what is a strong junior campaign, Christman needed just 90 pitches to go the distance, and only walked two batters in another pitching gem.
At the plate, Shawnee State signee Ryleigh Weeks went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored to lead the Bears, while Chelsea Davis joined Weeks in the multi-hit column by going 2-for-3 with an RBI for Valley.
Christman (1-for-2, run scored), Emilie Barr (1-for-4, run scored), Laylee McGraw (1-for-4, two RBI), EJ Vice (1-for-3, run scored) and Zoe Wolfe (1-for-2, double, RBI) all reached the hit column as well for Valley in the win.

Behind a complete game three-hitter from Peyton Wolfe and hits from eight different Northwest players, the Mohawks obtained a key nonconference triumph Tuesday evening as Northwest defeated Clay, 6-3, Tuesday evening in Rosemount.
Along with allowing just three hits, Wolfe also struck out six batters and didnât allow an earned run to cross the plate in Northwestâs road win. Wolfe also went 1-for-4 with a run scored in the contest.
Levi Shepherd (2-for-4, two doubles), Chase Kingrey (2-for-3, walk, RBI, run scored) and Wesyn Lang (1-for-4, double, two RBI, run scored) led Northwest at the top of the order while Aidden Armbrister (1-for-4, RBI), Braxton Burris (1-for-3, walk, RBI), Brevin Staggs (1-for-3, walk, run scored) and Brady Mason (1-for-4, run scored) all produced offensively for Northwest.

Behind a complete game seven-strikeout performance from Clay pitcher Alayna Shepherd and hitting up and down the order by the Lady Panthers, Clay was able to collect a nonconference win by defeating Northwest, 6-3, in Rubyville.
Heidi Smith led Clay by going 3-for-3 with a walk and two RBI from her leadoff position while Alaina Blackburn produced herself at the bottom of the order, going 2-for-3 with a RBI and a run scored to boot.
Shepherd (1-for-3, RBI, run scored), Elin Shaw (1-for-3, double, run scored), Zoey Moore (1-for-3, double, run scored), Mia Lunsford (1-for-3, triple, run scored) and Izzy Bryant (1-for-2, RBI) all produced offensively for the Lady Panthers in the contest.

Neal, who struck out eight batters in her six innings of work inside the circle, went 1-for-2 with two walks, two RBI and a run scored in the game, while leadoff hitter Addy Christian went 2-for-3 with a walk and a run scored to boot.
Aliya Bradley (1-for-3, RBI, run scored), Addy Brown (1-for-4, two RBI, two runs scored), Baylee Bridges (1-for-4, two RBI, two runs scored), Jayden Neal (1-for-4, RBI), Taylor Patten (1-for-4) and Ryleigh Davis (1-for-1) rounded out the winning cause for in the victory.

Scoring in five out of the six innings that it came up to the plate, the New Boston Glenwood Tigersâ softball program produced 14 hits between eight different players and received a complete game from ace pitcher Mya Truitt in New Bostonâs 10-3 triumph over the Oak Hill Oaksâ softball program Tuesday evening at Millbrook Park in New Boston.
Adyson Potts and Rilyn Holbrook led the way for the Lady Tigers by going 7-for-8 between them with three doubles, four RBI and four runs scored while Makenna Clark went 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBI to boot in the game.
Zoey Burchett (1-for-2, triple, walk, two runs scored), Chloe Hunter (1-for-2, walk, RBI, run scored), Olivia Kurtz (1-for-3) and Justina Williams (1-for-4, run scored) also joined the hit column.
The winning effort was rounded out by Truitt, who struck out 16 batters in her own complete game performance. Truitt also went 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI and two runs scored in the contest to round out the Lady Tigersâ winning cause.

Behind yet another two-homer game from Alayla Soard and a combined perfect game from both Soard and Lyndsey Schaefer, the Notre Dame Titansâ softball program breezed past South Gallia, 21-0, in a five-inning mercy-rule on Tuesday evening.
The duo were not only perfect on the mound by striking out 11 batters in five innings, but were perfect at the plate alongside Kameryn Stringer and Maycee Ford. Together, the quartet went 11-for-11 with Soardâs two home runs, a triple, a double, nine RBI and 12 runs scored between them. Kennedy Lyon also went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two runs scored for the Lady Titans.
Ava Rush, Candace Oudeh, Kate Entler, Jaysa Bryant, Makenna Hadsell, Sophia Phillips, Bella Rush and Audrey Bach all had a hit for Notre Dame in the contest.
Valley 12, Lynchburg-Clay 6
Behind nine runs between the fifth and sixth innings of play and 14 hits overall, the Valley Indiansâ softball program was able to claim a 12-6 triumph over the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangsâ softball program Tuesday evening in Lucasville.
Between Ryleigh Weeks, Emilie Barr, Laylee McGraw, Izabella Bray and EJ Vice, the quintet combined to go 11-for-18 with a triple, a double, eight RBI and 11 runs scored in the game.
Zoe Wolfe (1-for-3, walk, double, two RBI), Kendyl Christman (1-for-4, RBI) and Chelsea Davis (1-for-1, double, RBI, run scored) rounded out the hit column for the Lady Indians in the contest.

Behind 16 hits from eight different Minford Falcons and a combined seven-hitter from Curtis Glenn and Max Lauder, Eli Danielsâ group was able to score an 11-5 victory over the West Senatorsâ baseball program Monday evening in Minford.
Between Lauder, Mason Bradley, Ty Borland, Colby Mullins and Evan Richards, the quintet combined to go 10-for-18 with four doubles, eight RBI and eight runs scored in the game.
Carter Frazie (1-for-4, RBI, run scored), Mark Napier (1-for-2, two walks, run scored) and Colt Donahoe (1-for-3, RBI) also reached the hit column for Minford.
Glenn and Lauder added in five strikeouts between their shared time on the mound.
Mason Bodmer (2-for-3, RBI, run scored) and Brody Hall (2-for-3, walk, run scored) led West with multi-hit efforts while Isaak Tipton (1-for-2, walk, run scored), Levi Picklesimer (1-for-4, run scored) and Owen Richards (1-for-3) each joined the hit column as well.

Behind an eight-run seventh inning, the Northwest Mohawksâ baseball program was able to claim an 11-2 victory over the Symmes Valley Vikingsâ baseball program Monday evening in a contest that was held in Willow Wood.
Aidden Armbrister led Northwest by going 4-for-5 with two doubles and three runs scored while Austin Smith (2-for-4, RBI, run scored), Parker Wolfe (2-for-5, two RBI) and Levi Shepherd (2-for-4, walk, RBI, run scored) rounded out the multi-hit efforts for Northwest.
Wesyn Lang (1-for-5, triple, run scored), Braxton Burris (1-for-3, two walks, run scored) and Brevin Staggs (1-for-4, two RBI, two runs scored) rounded out the efforts for the Mohawks.
Pitching-wise, Chase Kingrey held down the fort for Northwest, throwing a complete game five-hitter while striking out 12 batters and walking just one in the contest.

Fairland 0 (F/5)
Behind a complete game five-hitter with seven strikeouts from Portsmouth pitcher Leeland Scurlock, the Portsmouth Trojansâ baseball program was able to collect a 10-0 triumph over the Fairland Dragonsâ baseball program in five innings on Monday evening in Portsmouth.
Scurlock, who only walked two walks as well en route to a complete game shutout, was aided by a 3-for-3 day at the plate from Owen Wells, who drove in a run and scored twice, as well as Jacob Roth, who went 2-for-3 at the plate with a triple, an RBI and two runs scored in the contest.
Trevin Brooks (1-for-2, double, two RBI, run scored), Camron Williams (1-for-3, double, run scored), Landon Malone (1-for-3, run scored) and Eli Roth (1-for-2, run scored) also led the Portsmouth hitting brigade on Monday.
Wheelersburg 10, Valley 9
In a wild SOC II contest that took place on Monday evening, the Wheelersburg Piratesâ baseball program used 15 hits and seven runs over the final two innings of play to claim a 10-9 victory over the Valley Indiansâ baseball program Monday evening in Wheelersburg.
Cameron Conn led Wheelersburgâs production by going 3-for-4 with a walk, two RBI and three runs scored from his leadoff position, while Brady Music also went 3-for-4 with two RBI from the five-hole. Brady Doss (2-for-5, four RBI, run scored), Andrew Tabor (2-for-5, RBI) and Owen Wilburn (2-for-4, two runs scored) also enjoyed multi-hit outings in the game.
Bransyn Russell (1-for-3, walk, run scored), Dylan Bundy (1-for-4, run scored) and Tanner Scior (1-for-2, run scored) also contributed to the offensive output for the Pirates, who scored the gameâs winning runs in the top of the seventh on Dossâ two RBI single that scored both Wilburn and Cameron Conn and set the final score.
Valley, who scored six runs in the fifth inning to take a 7-3 lead and then two in the bottom of the sixth to retake a 9-8 advantage after Wheelersburgâs five-run top-half, got a big effort off of the bench from Gavin Hannah, who went 2-for-2 with a double, three RBI and a run scored while Nolan Barnett added in a 2-for-3 day at the plate with two runs scored himself.

Behind a no-hitter from Notre Dame starting pitcher Ava Rush, the Lady Titansâ softball program rolled on to a 22-0 victory over the New Boston Glenwood Tigersâ softball program Monday evening at Millbrook Park in New Boston.
Jaysa Bryant, Maycee Ford, Alayla Soard, Kate Entler, Ava Rush, Lyndsey Schaefer and Bella Rush each combined to go 19-for-25 with three home runs, three doubles, 17 RBI and 17 runs scored in the game.
Audrey Bach (1-for-2, double, two RBI) and Candace Oudeh (1-for-1, two runs scored) rounded out the performances on Notre Dameâs side.
Wheelersburg 2, Valley 0
In a terrific pitching duel between Wheelersburgâs Emmee Eaton and Valleyâs Kendyl Christman, the Wheelersburg Piratesâ softball program edged the Valley Indiansâ softball program as Wheelersburg claimed a 2-0 triumph over Valley Monday evening in Lucasville.
Eaton, who threw a complete game three-hitter, struck out 16 batters and walked only one in 100 pitches. Christman put together terrific numbers herself, fanning 12 batters in a six-hitter on 113 pitches.
Lainey Howard (2-for-3), Ava Estep (1-for-1, two walks, RBI, run scored), Lauren Truitt (1-for-3, RBI), Makenna Vaught (1-for-3, double) and Makenzie Mullens (1-for-3) all produced for Wheelersburg in the contest.
Valley was led by Ryleigh Weeks (1-for-2, walk), Zoe Wolfe (1-for-3) and Izabella Bray (1-for-3) from a hitting perspective.

Notre Dame 13, Tolsia (W. Va.) 1 (F/5)
Behind a complete game two-hitter from Sawyer Rutman, the Notre Dame Titansâ baseball program was able to claim a 13-1 victory over the Tolsia (W. Va.) Rebelsâ baseball program on Saturday afternoon in a contest that was held in Portsmouth.
Rutman, who went 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBI and three runs scored in the contest, also struck out 10 batters and walked just two without allowing an earned run in the contest.
Luke Cassidy (1-for-4, double, two RBI, two runs scored), Bryce McGraw (1-for-2, two walks, two runs scored), Ethan Kingrey (1-for-4, run scored), Luke Hamilton (1-for-3, two RBI, run scored), Carter Ingles (1-for-1, walk, two RBI, run scored) and Jaxon Stombock (1-for-2, walk, two RBI, run scored) all reached the hit column for Notre Dame in the contest.
SOFTBALL
Notre Dame 7, Coal City (W. Va.) Independence 3
Behind an excellent effort from a batting perspective from the top of its lineup, the Notre Dame Titansâ softball program paved its way to a 7-3 victory over Coal City (W. Va.) Independence on Saturday afternoon in Portsmouth.
Four of Notre Dameâs top five batters in the order enjoyed multi-hit performances, including Alayla Soard (3-for-4, home run, double, RBI, three runs scored), Jaysa Bryant (3-for-3, walk, two runs scored), Maycee Ford (3-for-3, two RBI) and Kate Entler (2-for-2, walk, RBI, run scored).
Kennedy Lyon (1-for-4, RBI, run scored) and Lyndsey Schaefer (1-for-3, RBI) also joined the hit column for the Lady Titans.
Inside the circle, Soard and Ava Rush combined for 11 strikeouts for Notre Dame in the win.
