Dakota Wesleyan baseball and softball schedules have been adjusted due to spring weather, with games moved to Thursday and Sunday. Mitchell High School baseball also changed its schedule, now playing a doubleheader in Yankton on Sunday.
Apr. 15—MITCHELL — A few schedule changes have been made on the high school and collegiate diamonds in Mitchell this weekend, as Dakota Wesleyan baseball and softball have altered their plans along with Mitchell High School baseball.
DWU baseball will be in action at 11 a.m. Thursday for a doubleheader at Drake Field against Concordia (Neb.). The Bulldogs will then return to Mitchell on Sunday for a 1 p.m. doubleheader for DWU baseball's Senior Day. The games were previously scheduled for Friday and Saturday, respectively.
DWU softball will play an evening doubleheader against rival Mount Marty on Thursday, starting at 6:30 p.m. at McWhirter Field. The Tigers will then host Midland for Senior Day on Sunday, April 19, starting at 1 p.m. Those doubleheaders were previously scheduled for Friday and Saturday, respectively.
Mitchell High School baseball will now play a doubleheader at Yankton on Sunday, starting at 2 p.m. at Riverside Park. Previously, MHS baseball was scheduled to play Saturday night in Yankton.
MHS baseball's home doubleheader with Huron at 5 p.m. on Thursday at Drake Field remains as is and will follow the DWU baseball day games.
