The Horned Frogs (32-18, 16-11 Big 12) conclude the regular season against West Virginia before beginning the conference tournament. The Mountaineers are currently second in the Big 12 standings.

Colton Griffin’s two-run single in the fifth inning helped secure the series opener against the Utes on Friday. In his first start since suffering an injury earlier in the season, right-hander Tommy LaPour took the mound and fired three innings, striking out three and holding Utah to one hit. LaPour earned the win, improving to 1-1.
