Newcastle United reportedly seeks over ÂŁ80 million for winger Anthony Gordon, amid Bayern Munich's interest. Gordon is open to a transfer before the World Cup, but Newcastle has dismissed lower bids.
This kind of story was bound to come out â Newcastle United might want more than the alleged 60 million to 70 million that Bayern Munich was supposedly willing to pay for winger Anthony Gordon:
Anthony Gordon is open to leaving Newcastle this summer and is keen to get his future sorted before the World Cup. Bayern have been widely credited with an interest in him this week, but Newcastle have scoffed at suggestions they would entertain bids of between ÂŁ55-60m. That was the valuation circulated in German media reports, although the asking price for the England international is likely to exceed ÂŁ80m [@LukeEdwardsTele @TeleFootball] The last time we heard that Bayern Munich was deadly serious about procuring English talent, the Bavarians took strong runs at both Harry Kane and Declan Rice. While it is debatable on whether or not Rice every really considered Bayern Munich (it was reported that his choice came down to and the Bavarians), Kane did make the jump. If Bayern Munich truly wants Gordon, they will go strong after him. From there, it will just depend on whether or not he wants the move and if Newcastle United will accept Bayern Munichâs bid.
Newcastle United is likely to demand over ÂŁ80 million for Anthony Gordon, despite earlier reports suggesting a valuation of ÂŁ55-60 million.
Bayern Munich is looking to strengthen their squad and sees Anthony Gordon as a potential key addition to their attacking options.

Speaking of Bayern Munichâs rumored interest in English lads (shout out BFW Throwback #EnglishTomAdams), the stories linking the Bavarians to Manchester Cityâs Phil Foden are not true per Sport Bildâs Christian Falk:
â It is NOT TRUE: Bayern Munich are looking at Phil Foden ahead of the summer. Heâs a very interesting name, of course! But, Bayern Munich arenât looking for a player like him; a player whoâs expensive and whoâd want to play every game. Bayern are searching for a backup for the left wing position behind Luis Diaz. But, you know, they have Diaz, Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, and a young Lennart Karl who needs playing time to protect his development. Respectfully, where would Phil Foden play in this team? I think it wouldnât be a good deal for both sides. Admittedly, the story always seemed a little wide of the mark â unless Foden has become so disillusioned with City and the Premier League. Even after this up-and-down season, that still seems unlikely.
On their day off, Bayern Munich stars Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry went over to the BMW Munich Open to support Alexander Zverev just a day after the tennis star came to the Allianz Arena to watch the Bavarians: Moreover, Zverev took the court in a Michael Olise jersey:

Manchester United reportedly has an eye on RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande:
Manchester United have shortlisted attackers Yan Diomande and Iliman Ndiaye ahead of the summer transfer window opening, Sky Sports reports. Diomande, 19, has shone in the Bundesliga this season with RB Leipzig, scoring 10 goals in 27 league matches. He is under contract until 2030, having arrived in Germany last summer from Spanish club LeganĂ©s. Senegal international Ndiaye has six goals and three assists in the Premier League for Everton so far this season. United have also been linked with Aston Villaâs Morgan Rogers in recent days, as they look to bolster their left-wing options next season.
Bayern Munich stars Michael Olise, Joshua Kimmich, and Dayot Upamecano were all named to UEFAâs official Champions League Team of the Week:
