Bayern Munich had two significant handball appeals rejected during their Champions League semifinal against PSG. The decisions came shortly after PSG took an early lead, complicating Bayern's efforts to overturn a 6-4 aggregate deficit.

Bayern Munich had two major handball shouts denied in two minutes during Wednesday's Champions League semifinal second leg against Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG took the lead in the third minute through Ousmane Dembélé, giving the French side a 6-4 aggregate advantage after winning last week's first leg 5-4.
Bayern could have taken a massive step toward overturning that deficit, but referee João Pinheiro waved away both handball claims, much to the chagrin of the home fans at Allianz Arena.
In the 29th minute, Bayern's Konrad Laimer appeared to chest down a loose ball before touching it around PSG defender Nuno Mendes, who knocked the ball down with his outstretched arm.
Mendes was already on a yellow card and had Pinheiro called him for the handball, there would have been a strong chance the Portugal international would have been sent off. Instead, the referee decided to whistle Laimer for a questionable handball before Mendes intervened.
Just two minutes later, Vitinha tried to blast a clearance out of his box and the ball struck João Neves directly in the arm. Once again, Pinheiro decided not to whistle the possible handball, which in this case would have resulted in a penalty.
