Bayern Munich midfield is set for some major changes in the summer. The departures of Leon Goretzka and Raphaël Guerreiro will be leaving a significant vacuum. Young loanee Bara-Sapoko Ndiaye is part of the club’s plans to replace the outgoing players.
Bayern Munich tied up with MLS club LAFC with a keen focus on youth football. Providing a global platform for the promotion of young talents and responsible accompaniment to professional football is the core objective of this joint venture. The current loan of Ndiaye from Gambino Stars Africa is a result of this partnership.
Within a couple of months since the start of the loan in January, Ndiaye made his Bundesliga debut with Bayern. Vincent Kompany has put his faith in the 18 year-old Senegalese and fielded him in four games so far. The Belgian has been the driving force in turning this loan into a permanent deal per a report from TZ by and (as captured by ).

It is still early to make elaborate analysis from the few games played by the midfielder. However, few things have stood out about him. He has strong physical presence for his age, has shown to be resilient and difficult to bully the ball away from. His passing is good but it can get better in terms of verticality. He has not taken risks in his passing behavior and that is something understandable for debutants. He has shown promise with his technical skill with some great one touch passing.
He can improve in several areas such as making more forward passes, taking risks in the final third and perhaps take a few shots considering his preferred position as a CAM. Kompany for one is a fantastic leader to be under at this time of Ndiaye’s career.
While Ndiaye’s signing is reported to be made permanent, his path ahead is kept open for now. Depending on how the summer transfer goes for the Bavarians, Ndiaye can be expected to be a part of the senior team or go out on loan to get crucial game time for his development.
