Bayern Munich plans significant changes at their youth campus, including the dismissal of U-19 head coach Peter Gaydarov. The club's new Campus director, Michael Wiesinger, will take over on May 1 and is expected to implement these changes.

FC Bayern’s U19 head coach Peter Gaydarov will step down from his current role this summer. 34 y/o Gaydarov has received enquiries from professional clubs in Germany and abroad, so a departure from Bayern is a real possibility. Like Holger Seitz, he enjoys an excellent reputation.
Who knows whether this move is being made to bring in Wiesinger’s own guys or if this move is being made on sporting merit. On first glance, however, there is some sporting merit for this decision. Gaydarov is a good manager and there are no real complaints about his management from the players, but there is always the feeling things should be a bit better. The team has a good offensive structure and has the ability to move the ball around the field in a competent manner. But the defense just seems to crumble so often. Meanwhile, the Bavarians have truly struggled on the biggest stage, the UEFA Youth League. Sure, last season Bayern made it as far as never before by reaching the quarterfinals, but they were also outclassed and torn apart by and (as well as Benfica, even if the scoreline did not reflect it) along the way. This season, they failed to make it out of the group stages entirely. Of course, the results are secondary to player development and players such as Felipe Chávez, Deniz Ofli, , Roko Mijatović, Ljubo Puljić and more developed under his care. Whether or not the results and coaching set up matter all that much is up to any one individual.
Bayern Munich is making changes to improve performance after disappointing results in the UEFA Youth League and to potentially align with new Campus director Michael Wiesinger's vision.
Peter Gaydarov is set to be replaced by a new coach, although the specific successor has not been announced yet.
The U-19 team struggled in the UEFA Youth League, failing to advance past the group stages, and previously faced heavy defeats against top teams like Barcelona and PSG.
