Bayern Munich's Aleksandar Pavlović, now a key player at just 21, contributed significantly to the team's 2-1 victory over Real Madrid in the Champions League. He emphasizes the faster tempo and mental pressure of playing against top clubs, which he embraces as an opportunity to showcase his skills.

It seems only yesterday that Aleksandar Pavlović was breaking into the Bayern Munich first team. Still only 21, the young midfielder has come into his own and become an established figure for both club and country. Now he’s one of Bayern’s grizzled veterans and a top choice for head coach Vincent Kompany in the biggest games.
Pavlović was in the XI on Tuesday at the Bernabéu for Bayern’s 2-1 win over Real Madrid and put in a monster shift, while still being self-critical of some of his own passes. From his play on the pitch to his comments off it, he showed what it means to have big game mentality. And previously, he shared his experience of how those bigger games play out.
“Everything happens faster against top clubs, the tempo is higher, so you have to be even more alert,” Then there’s the mental pressure. But as I said, I’ve never had any problems with that. If anything, I look forward to showing what I’m capable of on the big stage,“ Pavlović shared in an April interview with club magazine Säbener51, as captured by @iMiaSanMia.
So far it’s one leg done but the decisive one still awaits. If Bayern can finish the job now, Pavlović will have a few more chances this season to shine under the lights.
