Bayern Munich welcomed back Jamal Musiala to the team after injuries took crucial playing time away from the star. He has been back for a few days.
In the away game against St Pauli, Musiala featured in the starting lineup. Not only did he score the opening goal, he also assisted in the goal Nicolas Jackson scored in the second half. While fans are excited to see him back, there have been concerns regarding his health and the fear that he may pick up another injury soon looms heavy.
Former Bayern keeper and front office member Oliver Kahn shares the concern. He further advised Musiala to skip the World Cup. When the 23-year-old was asked whether skipping was an option for him, he denied it.
“No, I definitely want to go to the World Cup. I didn’t read what he said, but I definitely want to go to the World Cup,” he said, per @iMiaSanMia. “My focus right now is on helping FC Bayern win everything and then I want to help my country in the summer,” he declared.
Musiala is crucial for the Germany side and it would definitely be a terrible blow to the team if they could not have him.
