HT Spor commentator Alper Yemenicile put out some very interesting news (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) regarding the future of Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae:
Top Turkish clubs are interested in signing Kim Min-jae
@AYemeniciler: “When I spoke with the agent of Kim Min-jae, who is a friend of mine, he said, ‘There’s nothing forcing us to leave right now. We don’t know the situation [with Bayern] yet, but we’re exploring our options.’ – He said that not only Fenerbahçe, but also Beşiktaş and Galatasaray have contacted us. He stated that if we were to make an assessment, Fenerbahçe would be the first option we’d prefer.”
Kim’s future in Bavaria has been in doubt for quite a while. The clear number three option on the depth chart at center-back behind Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah, Kim could seek an opportunity that would present him with a larger role. However, Kim currently makes €15 million in a total financial package (salary + bonus) per Capology. That kind of money will be hard for the Korean to get on the open market, especially with his current deal running through 2028.
