Bayern Munich are not expecting to be punished with a partial ban on spectators due to incidents during the Champions League quarter-finals against Real Madrid.
"We're not too worried. Our contact with UEFA is good and close, has been throughout the season. UEFA know what they have with the Allianz Arena. It was an extreme situation, but UEFA know it's one of the safest stadiums. We're assuming we'll be able to enjoy a full stadium against Paris Saint-Germain," sporting director Christoph Freund.
European football ruling body UEFA has initiated disciplinary proceedings after Bayern fans climbed over the fence and made their way to the edge of the pitch.
After Micheal Olise's goal in stoppage time, which sealed a 4-3 win and a spot in the semi-finals, several photographers sitting behind the advertisement board were trapped between the fans and the players who celebrated with the supporters.
According to the police, at least four photographers were injured.
"There were a lot of emotions but also chaos. We're very sorry that journalists got hurt. We're in contact with the journalists and the UEFA committee," Freund said.
"It was a very emotional night, an extraordinary game. But that can't be allowed to happen. Our stadium stands for security and an atmosphere where everyone feels good."
Bayern fans climbed over the fence and approached the edge of the pitch, prompting UEFA to initiate disciplinary proceedings.
Bayern Munich is not expecting a spectator ban, as their sporting director believes UEFA understands the situation and the safety of their stadium.
Sporting director Christoph Freund stated that Bayern has a good and close relationship with UEFA, which has been maintained throughout the season.
