Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany is staying calm but knows his side face a mighty challenge in Wednesday's Champions League semi-final second leg at home to Paris Saint-Germain.
The first leg in France, won 5-4 by holders PSG, has been widely hailed as one of the great games in modern times. It followed a equally thrilling quarter-final win for Bayern over record winners Real Madrid.
PSG just kept coming last week, but Bayern hung in there and hope home advantage can make a difference this time.
"They've been the strongest team in Europe over the last couple of years, they've won the Champions League. As well as the quality and the coaching, the age of the team is also on their side, Kompany told a news conference on Tuesday.
"They keep improving, they're constantly learning. They're a team who we respect and who are very difficult to play against. We believe the same of ourselves, though, and that we can beat them."
Kompany was in the stands for the epic first leg due to suspension and will try to make his team talk just before kick-off count for the second instalment.
"For me, inner calm reigns. I try not to let the emotions of the match play a role too early," said the Bayern boss, who has already masterminded retaining the Bundesliga this term and is also in the German Cup final.
"I am already thinking about what my last sentence can be to motivate the team once again."
Defender Jonathan Tah could barely contain himself at the press conference. A special atmosphere is expected inside the Allianz Arena and Bayern will premiere next season's kit.
The first leg ended with PSG winning 5-4 against Bayern Munich.
Vincent Kompany is wary of PSG's youthful squad, recognizing the challenge they present.
The second leg of the Champions League semifinal is scheduled for Wednesday.

"I'm massively looking forward to this game. We're even more tense and focused, but that's outweighed by the excitement, especially after the first leg," he said.
"It's going to be a lot of fun. It's important for me not to forget why I started playing football - the fun and the passion."
