On Monday, Greg Joyce of The New York Post published a conversation he had with the former Met. Nimmo had a message for anyone panicked over the Metsâ 9-19 start.
âI was part of that team that started off (0-5 in 2024), and then from May 15 on was the best team in baseball. So Iâve been on both sides of it,â Nimmo said, via The New York Post. âI wouldnât say Iâm surprised. Baseball, it takes a long time to have a good or bad season. So thereâs still plenty of time for them to right the ship. And thereâs still plenty of time for teams that are hot to go bad.
âSo I wouldnât say Iâm surprised anymore. Iâve seen baseball go a lot of different ways. So now itâs just like, âWell, yep, thatâs baseball.â Baseballâs a crazy game.â
