On to Round 2. The Cardinals own the second pick in this round at pick #34, and then the first pick in Round 3 (#65).
Who is the best available coming up in Round 2? One thing is for certain: Arizona no longer has to wait and watch to see if QB Ty Simpson may drop out of the first round, and then go to the New York Jets with the first pick in Round 2. It shocked everyone that Simpson went with the #13 pick in Round 1 to the Los Angeles Rams, whose current quarterback was the league’s MVP this past season.
Plus, the Jets no longer own the first overall pick in the second round. That now belongs to the San Francisco 49ers.

Who is the best available early in the second round?
Draft ranking: #23
McCoy is coming off a very bad knee injury that made him miss all of 2025. Teams have been scared off by this issue lingering. The Cardinals’ cornerback room is in really good shape and will probably pass on McCoy.
Draft ranking: #25
Cardinals receiver room is good, but can Ossenfort pass over Boston’s talent, size, and 4.6 speed? Long arms and good YAC numbers because of his length. Hands are legit. Adjusts very well at back shoulder throws and is a good ball tracker.
Draft ranking: #29
Arizona needs a good tackling safety, and that is McNeil-Warren. Came from a lesser conference, but is an exceptional tackler and has great length at 6’-4”, 201 pounds. 88% in pass coverage and great in run defense.
Draft ranking: #40
Exceptional week of practice at the Senior Bowl, and a very good run stopper. Was Defensive MVP at this game. Nasty player with great body control. Finishes through contact with active technical hands. Line him up opposite Josh Sweat and watch fireworks every game.
Draft ranking: #39
Here is the guard the Cardinals are looking for. He will compete right away and has the ability to start Week 1. Core strength and excellent hand placement. Can sustain blocks, is effective at pulling, and is an exceptional pass blocker.
Draft ranking: #60
The new right tackle is this huge man. Technically refined offensive tackle who shines in pass protection. Polished hand placement and good balance. Team captain, so he’s a leader. Three-year starter, so he’s durable.
Draft ranking: #63
Exceptional speed for a defensive end at 4.65. Can generate real pocket pressure with good footwork. Reliable tackler and a very good run defender.
Draft ranking: #66
Offensive guard is a critical position. The franchise needs some young blood at the guard position who can start if needed this upcoming season. Guard Gennings Dunker of Iowa is a very large man who dominates inside. He looks like a lumberjack with sawed-off legs, long flowing red hair, and a beard. Great guy and well-spoken, but on the field, this is one nasty dude.
