The 2026 NFL Draft saw five wide receivers selected in the first round, highlighting the demand for the position. The Atlanta Falcons are looking to secure a strong WR2 to support Drake London in the upcoming rounds.
Wide receivers were a popular commodity in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft. Starting with Ohio State's Carnell Tate going to the Tennessee Titans at No. 4 overall, a total of five receivers came off the board in the first round, including Jordyn Tyson from Arizona, USC's Makai Lemon, Texas A&M's KC Concepcion and Omar Cooper Jr. from Indiana.
This is relevant for the Atlanta Falcons because finding a true WR2 to help out Drake London has to be high on their list of things to do in the draft, and tonight's second and third rounds is the best time to do it.
There are still plenty of quality receivers on the board, though. Here's a quick review of the top remaining wide receiver prospects in the top 100 overall, per Daniel Jeremiah at NFL.com.
"Boston is a big-framed wideout with exceptional ball skills and production. He lines up both outside and in the slot. He uses his upper-body strength to power through press coverage. He is a long strider and understands how to use his big body to wall off defenders at all three levels... Overall, Boston's skill set is very similar to Courtland Sutton's when the two-time Pro Bowler was coming out of SMU."
"Bernard is a strong, sturdy wideout. He was utilized in a variety of alignments in the Crimson Tide offense, taking snaps out wide, in the slot, at running back and as a Wildcat quarterback. His quickness is a weapon off the line and at the top of routes. He can separate underneath and has strong hands to attack the ball... Bernard should earn a spot as a quality starting slot receiver early in his NFL career."
Denzel Boston from Washington is among the top remaining wide receiver prospects available for the Falcons.
The Falcons need a reliable WR2 to complement Drake London and enhance their offensive capabilities.

Given what the Falcons need at the position, we feel Bernard is the best option available. Whether he's still on the board when it's finally Atlanta's turn to pick is another story, though.
