This was always going to be a Day 3 draft for the Denver Broncos. Following a trade to acquire Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins, the Broncos have added just one player in the 2026 NFL Draft.
That player is Tyler Onyedim, a defensive tackle out of Texas A&M who went in the third round after the Broncos traded with the Buffalo Bills to get out of the second.
For fans within Broncos Country wanting the team to select an inside linebacker in round two, there was a run on them between picks 43 and 60 that fell short of the Broncos. That is still a need heading into Day 3, as is running back and tight end.
Looking at the board of players remaining, the Broncos would have to be fortunate to get some of these players, but these are the best possible prospects the team could select on Saturday.

The Broncos don't need a cornerback (they didn't need one last year when they drafted Jahdae Barron), but sometimes, you can't pass up value. Jermod McCoy had a first-round grade from many analysts coming into this draft. Concerns about the stability of a knee seems to be causing a slide, but the team that stops that slide could be very happy.
Mike Washington Jr., RB, Arkansas
The Broncos need an explosive running back to add to their depth chart and Mike Washington Jr. fits the bill. There are concerns surrounding his ball security, but he has all the ability to give the team the extra juice it needed in its rushing attack last season.
Justin Joly, TE, North Carolina State
The Broncos were unable to come away with Eli Stowers or Max Klare in round two, but Justin Joly caught 166 passes and scored 15 touchdowns in four college seasons. He could be a great consolation prize.
Kaleb Elarms-Orr, LB, TCU
The Broncos need to come out of this draft with an inside linebacker and they should look at getting that need fulfilled early on Saturday. Kaleb Elarms-Orr may not be a three-down linebacker yet, but he has the speed and athleticism to go with great size that can be molded into one.
Jonah Coleman, RB, Washington
The RB3 spot proved to be a critical piece for the Broncos last season, primarily because it wasn't adequately filled. Jonah Coleman could be one of those Day 3 picks that becomes a highly-productive professional.
Deontae Lawson, LB, Alabama
The run on inside linebackers left little but a scrap heap remaining, but the Broncos must attempt to add promising depth to their current group. Deontae Lawson was once projected as a second-round pick, but has fallen down the board throughout the pre-draft process. Still, the team could look to find value that can be built upon.
