The response was immediate, and four minutes later, Khephren Thuram came close to equalising, but his header was deflected away for a corner by Victor Nelsson. The first half ended with the visitors leading 0-1.
Spallettiâs team returned to the field after halftime with great determination, determined to take control of the match right away.
