The BIG3 is coming back to Detroit this summer. Twice.
The three-on-three basketball league co-founded by Ice Cube will hit Little Caesars Arena on Saturday, June 27 (3:30 p.m. tipoff), and Thursday, July 23 (8 p.m.), as part of a 13-date summer slate, which starts June 20 in Inglewood, California.
The circuit's ninth season is dubbed “The 9th Wonder in the Summer." Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at 313Presents.com, BIG3.com/tickets and Ticketmaster.com.
Detroit represents one of eight teams in the league. The Detroit Amps, formed in 2025, are joined by the Boston Ball Hogs, Chicago Triplets, Dallas Power, DMV Trilogy, Houston Rig Hands, LA Riot and defending champion Miami 305.
The 2025 Detroit Amps were coached by NBA and Eastern Michigan legend George Gervin, and included Joe Johnson, a seven-time NBA All-Star; Darnell Jackson, Jeremy Pargo, Ray Nixon and Shakur Juiston.
