Belichick leaned into talking about all the outstanding players he has coached over the years, from his days with the New York Giants to most recently with the New England Patriots. But there was one former MVP that he believes has earned a unique spot in NFL history.
Gray brought up the Lombardi Trophy, which was named after the famed Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi following his death in 1970. Belichick then advocated for the NFL to change the name of the game's most coveted prize.
"Maybe they should name it the Brady Trophy," Belichick said. "He won seven of them."
