Four-star Texas A&M commit Hakim Frampton took to social media to share an important update about his recruitment on Thursday. The San Antonio native announced he was shutting down his recruitment and will no longer be listening to programs trying to flip him from the Aggies.
Frampton committed to Texas A&M on Sept. 27, 2025, the same day he unofficially visited the program. The Aggies offered him a scholarship in June of 2024, hosting him on several visits before securing his commitment. He also had scholarship offers from the Auburn Tigers, Arkansas Razorbacks, UCLA Bruins, and more.
He is ranked as the No. 410 overall player and No. 31 athlete in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 55 player from Texas. While he is listed as an athlete, he is expected to play cornerback for the Aggies.
Frampton starred in all three phases of the game as a junior for Little Rock High School. On offense, he played wide receiver and caught 37 passes for 724 yards and nine touchdowns. At cornerback, he recorded 46 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles, and three pass breakups. He also averaged 27.8 yards on kickoff returns, bringing one back for a touchdown.
Getting him to shut down his recruitment is the latest win for Texas A&M on the recruiting trail, which currently has the No. 2-ranked recruiting class in the country, according to 247Sports. They are going to look to keep it going on Friday, when five-star offensive tackle Mark Matthews announced his commitment, with the Aggies being a finalist.
