As the Blue Jays announced on Monday, Max Scherzer, the beloved future Hall of Famer, was placed on the injured list and will be replaced by righty Chase Lee.
"ROSTER MOVES: RHP Max Scherzer placed on 15-day IL (right forearm tendinitis, left ankle inflammation). RHP Chase Lee recalled from Triple-A and will be active tonight," the Blue Jays announced Monday.
This is some very tough news for the Blue Jays, as that now makes the team's sixth starting pitcher to land on the injured list this season, joining Cody Ponce, Trey Yesavage, Shane Bieber, Jose Berrios, and Bowden Francis.
