Those numbers are both drastic, too, giving up .533 and hitting just .111. Both of those will normalize to some extent just based on regression to the mean.
They also aren't from huge sample sizes, but the season has been going long enough that even if they aren't sure-thing trends to continue, they do explain part of why the early stages of the year haven't been easy for Toronto.
Teams that hit and pitch well with runners on base are almost certainly going to be more successful in the long haul. That's just how it works.
