After a horrendous start to the season, the Toronto Blue Jays looked like they were figuring some things out just a few weeks ago.

Fast forward to the past 10 games, and the Blue Jays have continued to struggle, now sitting at 3-7 over that span. It's tough that Toronto is dealing with all its injuries, but that's unfortunately part of the game.

Some injuries have contributed to the Blue Jays' struggles, but they've also gotten average play from some of their better players who are healthy. The biggest one with that is Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who has four hits in his last 10 games. He has been struggling mightily, at a level we've never seen offensively from him, and skipper John Schneider believes he has the reason why.

“Asked about Vladimir Guerrero Jr., John Schneider thinks he’s trying to do a little too much, which is something we’ve all seen in past years from Vladdy. ‘I think he’s at the point where he wants to be the guy to carry us. The more he does that, the harder it gets.’ #BlueJays,” Blue Jays reporter Keegan Matheson wrote on X.

Guerrero is best when he just lets things come to him and swings it the way that everybody knows he can.
