Bo Nix recreated John Elway’s iconic Vortex commercial in schedule release video

The Denver Broncos' 2026 schedule release video had a few different nuggets buried in it, including some that fans may have missed.

Some of the references were easy to spot (The Denn instead of the actual TV show The Pitt), the reference from cornerback Aqib Talib of the unbreakable chain and asking for a review from "Mike C" (Talib ripped then-Oakland Raiders' Michael Crabtree's necklace off his neck during a game), and, of course, the Buffalo Bills fan crashing through tables.

But one of the best nuggets came from Broncos quarterback Bo Nix, who tested out the "5280 ball," recreating a 1995 commercial from Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback John Elway, who tested out the Koosh Vortex.

The Broncos later posted a standalone Nix clip from the video, referencing the Elway commercial.
