The Kansas City Chiefs hold two first-round draft picks, and what general manager Brett Veach and head coach Andy Reid will do is up for debate.

Some have the Chiefs going corner at No. 9, while others think a receiver like Jordyn Tyson to give Patrick Mahomes another weapon in the passing game. Reuben Bain Jr. is also an option, as the Chiefs have a need at edge and he's frequently been mocked to Kansas City.

But with two first-round selections, the AFC West franchise can go in any number of different directions as they attempt to plug the roster holes made by free agency.

For NFL.com's Chad Reuter, in his bold draft predictions piece, he has the Chiefs going offensive line, but not Francis Mauigoa, it's Kadyn Proctor at No. 9 as the pick.

"A lot of mock drafts project Kansas City to take Francis Mauigoa in the top 10, but I predict the Chiefs select a different offensive tackle at No. 9 overall," Reuter wrote. "Kadyn Proctor fits the team’s prototype for the position and could slip into the starting RT spot following the release of Jawaan Taylor.

"The gargantuan Alabama product could also stay on the blind side in a scenario where 2025 first-rounder Josh Simmons switches back to right tackle, where he started as a redshirt freshman at San Diego State."

Is offensive line a bold prediction?

I wouldn't say so, but Reuter's thought is more based on the player the Chiefs take.

With Jawaan Taylor and his penalty issues now no longer a problem, the Chiefs do have a job opening at right tackle, and that is where Proctor excels.

Many mock drafts have the Chiefs going edge or corner, and those are two positions of need as well, but all of that matters for nothing if Patrick Mahomes is picking himself up off the turf.

So, getting Patrick adequate protection appears to be high on the to-do list, but so too is corner and edge.

Which way will the Chiefs go?
