Boston Celtics, Amica Insurance fund new Manton Heights Early Childhood Education Center

The Boston Celtics are reportedly celebrating their contributions beyond the basketball court today with a significant milestone in Providence, RI. The YMCA of Greater Providence has been designated as the provider partner for the new Manton Heights Early Childhood Education Center, an initiative supported by Amica Insurance and the Celtics' Boston Celtics Shamrock Foundation in partnership with the Providence Housing Authority. Scheduled to open in late 2026, the center will support local families with children and represents the initial phase of a comprehensive, long-term initiative to enhance community access to early education throughout the greater New England area. "“Access to high-quality early childhood education can make a meaningful difference for families and communities,” said Rich Gotham, Boston Celtics Team President. “Working alongside Amica and the Providence Housing Authority, this center will help expand those opportunities in Providence while supporting young learners and their families.”
