Boston reportedly has been dealt a monster blow though heading into Game 7. NBA insider Chris Haynes revealed that Jayson Tatum will miss the encounter due to left knee stiffness.

Tatum returned to the Celtics just weeks before the playoffs after healing his brutal Achilles injury. Last year, Tatum was ruled out of the NBA Playoffs against the Knicks when he sustained a season-ending setback.
However, the Boston superstar rehabilitated his body to get back in shape for the latter portion of the 2025-26 season. The latest Tatum setback could cost Boston a place in the next round though given Philadelphia’s current form.

The 76ers clawed their way back into the first round series after initially trailing 3-1 against Boston. However, the last two games featured massive contributions from Joel Embiid for Philadelphia.
Embiid’s health is always a huge concern for Philly fans, but his recent form has given the team a major lift in the postseason alongside Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecombe and Paul George.
In Game 6, Tatum finished with 17 points in 29 minutes despite not featuring late in the matchup due to his knee discomfort.
