Cincinnati Bengals extend Dexter Lawrence II for $28 million after trade from Giants
The 130th Boston Marathon will feature 19 runners from Volusia and Flagler Counties, including Jim Musante, who is competing for the 46th consecutive year. Other notable participants are Chris Batista and Leah Umberger, both of whom had impressive finishes last year.
Nearly 25,000 runners will start the 130th Boston Marathon, and once again, that large field has a healthy contingent from Volusia and Flagler Counties.
The group of 19 area runners, ranging in age from 29 to 64, will be part of the waves of runners tackling the 26.2-mile course Monday, which is Patriots Day in Massachusetts. Among the locals, for the 46th consecutive year, is New Smyrna Beach's Jim Musante.
Musante's streak of 45, reached last year, gave him the eighth longest current streak of consecutive Boston Marathons completed.
Also entered is DeLand's Chris Batista, who topped all locals last year with a time of two hours, 40 minutes and five seconds.
Leah Umberger, also from DeLand, was last year's fastest local woman (3:10:49) and is also entered this year.
The 130th Boston Marathon will include nearly 25,000 runners Monday.

Nineteen runners from Volusia and Flagler Counties will participate in the Boston Marathon.
Jim Musante is a runner from New Smyrna Beach competing in his 46th consecutive Boston Marathon, holding the eighth longest current streak.
Chris Batista finished last year with a time of 2:40:05, while Leah Umberger's time was 3:10:49.
