The Atlanta Braves have once again shuffled around their bullpen, as they'll be getting back one of their best left-handers. The Braves' pitching staff has been in flux all season, with nine different pitchers on the injured list.

The Atlanta Braves reinstate Dylan Lee and DFA Carlos Carrasco

According to a press release by the Braves on X, left-hander Dylan Lee was reinstated from the paternity list on Wednesday. To clear a spot for Lee’s return, the Braves designated right-hander Carlos Carrasco for assignment.

Carrasco, 39, made one appearance for the Braves this season, throwing one inning and striking out one against the Washington Nationals on April 23. A veteran of 17 major league seasons, Carrasco also made three appearances for the Braves in 2025 after having his contract purchased from the New York Yankees.

Carrasco will now pass through waivers, where another team could claim him. If not, Carrasco will either accept his assignment to Triple-A Gwinnett or ask to be granted his release to find other major league opportunities.

Lee, 31, has been manager Walt Weiss’s best left-handed arm in the bullpen this season. In 14 appearances, Lee is 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA and has four holds in 13.0 innings.
