Liam Rosenior has been sacked by Chelsea, who pulled the trigger this afternoon following a run of five consecutive league defeats.
The club released a statement which thanks Rosenior and his staff for their efforts during their three and a bit months in charge.
âThis has not been a decision the Club has taken lightly, however recent results and performances have fallen below the necessary standards with still so much more to play for this season. Everyone at Chelsea FC wishes Liam every success in the future.â
Callum McFarlane, who oversaw two games between Enzo Marescaâs dismissal and Roseniorâs appointment in January, will take over as interim coach until the end of the season.
The final line of the statement reads that the club âwill undertake a process of self-reflection to make the right long-term appointment,â which is perhaps the closest weâll get to an admission of the abject failure in recent managerial hires from the clowns running this circus.
