As the 2026 NFL Draft nears, Dane Brugler delivered a detailed seven-round projection for The Athletic, offering a comprehensive look at how the Philadelphia Eagles could approach roster building. With a mix of trench reinforcements, skill-position upgrades, and developmental depth, the mock reflects a strategy aligned with the organization's long-standing philosophy.
Headlined by Alabama lineman Kadyn Proctor in the first round, the class emphasizes protection, versatility, and offensive balance around Jalen Hurts. From wide receiver and tight end additions to secondary help and a developmental quarterback, Brugler's projection outlines a pathway for Philadelphia to remain competitive while continuing to build for the future.

At 6-7 and 350-plus pounds, Proctor is more than just his physical size, offering enough athleticism to run pass routes. Daniel Jeremiah'sĀ No. 29 prospect in the draft, Proctor, confirmed that the Eagles are paying close attention. The Eagles have consistently invested in the trenches, and Proctor offers both immediate depth and long-term potential. His physical tools make him a developmental prospect with Pro Bowl upside.
As a senior, Fields started all 12 games for the Irish, leading all players with an average of 17.5 yards per reception among those with at least 10 catches. He finished second on the team with a total of 630 receiving yards and five touchdown receptions. Over the last two years, the 6-5, 243-pound Klare has caught 94 passes for 1,173 yards and six touchdowns as an explosive vertical threat. Wheatley spent five seasons with the Nittany Lions and started every game in the last two seasons. Wheatley totaled 170 tackles, 4.5 tackles-for-loss, one sack, one forced fumble, and four interceptions in the last two seasons combined.
Once regarded as a candidate for the No. 1 pick in the 2025 draft, Beck has seen his stock rise and fall in his journey from Georgia to Miami. In his line season at Miami, Beck finished with 3,813 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions this season.
Beck is a balanced pocket passer, and his 74.8% adjusted completion percentage this season was the eighth-highest mark among all FBS passers.
