Neville: Arsenal will need wheelbarrow to get over line in PL title race
Neville says Arsenal will need a wheelbarrow to win the PL title after edging past Newcastle.
The New Orleans Saints have traded for former first-round pick Tyree Wilson from the Las Vegas Raiders, sending the 150th overall pick and receiving the 219th pick in return. Wilson, who has recorded 12 sacks in three seasons, is entering the final year of his contract.
Here's that help out on the edge the New Orleans Saints were looking for. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo report that the Saints are trading with the Las Vegas Raiders for Tyree Wilson, their former first-round pick. It's the 150th overall pick going to Las Vegas in exchange for Wilson and the 219th pick, a seventh rounder.
That's a good trade. Wilson hasn't met expectations as the former seventh overall pick, but he's been durable with 12 sacks and four forced fumbles across three years, missing just one game. The 26-year old will fit right in behind Carl Granderson and Chase Young at 6-foot-5 and 263 pounds. He's also entering the final year of his contract after the Raiders declined to pick up his fifth-year option for 2027 (guaranteeing him $14.75 million), but the Saints can make their own decision ahead of the May 1 deadline.
New Orleans struck out on edge rushers early in the draft, and when talks fell through with the New York Giants for Kayvon Thibodeaux they turned their attention to Wilson. You could do worse than roll the dice on a former top-10 pick. It worked out alright with Young.
