Thatâs no disrespect to Harman, 99.9 per cent of PGA Tour players arenât in the same league as the 29-year-old world number one either.
Despite some patchy spells of form in 2026, Scheffler could well be set to dominate the PGA Tour once again, with his driving and iron play recently returning to his usual standards.
What Brian Harman thinks of Scottie Scheffler as a golfer
Harman fired a third-round 63 to vault himself back into contention at the RBC Heritage on Saturday.
Scheffler posted a score of 64 and is sitting one shot ahead of Harman heading into the final round, but three behind the leader, Matt Fitzpatrick.
Harman made a guest appearance in the Sky Sports commentary booth after his third round, and responded when asked what he thinks of Scheffler as a golfer.
âIâll tell you what he doesnât get enough credit for,â Harman said.

âItâs inside of 100 yards.
âHe sure does hit it to tap-in range a lot.
âAnd his short game is so good. You know, you play with him, and he just kind of pars you to death for a while, and then all of a sudden, you know, he gets on a little bit of a run, and heâs winning the golf tournament.â
Scheffler has done exactly what Harman said this week on Hilton Head Island. After a slow and steady start, he now sits second on the leaderboard heading into the final round at Harbour Town Golf Links on Sunday.
Scottie Schefflerâs superpower is his consistency
Schefflerâs remarkable consistency is what makes him so good.
He hasnât finished outside the top 25 in any tournament since August 2024!
And this week at the RBC Heritage marks Schefflerâs 72nd cut in a row â only another 73 to go to beat Tiger Woodsâ long-standing record!
He always limits his mistakes and plays an incredibly patient brand of golf.
Then when he catches fire, he usually takes full advantage.
Scheffler will be chasing his 21st PGA Tour win in four years on Sunday at the RBC Heritage and that in itself is genuinely incredible.
