FOX Sports is hiring a 'Chief World Cup Watcher' to watch all 104 FIFA World Cup games from Times Square. The position is aimed at soccer fans eager to enjoy the tournament live in New York City.

For any soccer fans who believe theyâre up to the task of watching all 104 FIFA World Cup games this summer, all whilst being watched from a custom viewing space in the heart of New York City, look no further.
With kick off just over one month away, FOX and Indeed have collaborated to post an opening for a âFOX One Chief World Cup Watcher Hired Through Indeed.â
Budding candidates can apply online, and the lucky soon-to-be employee will earn themselves a $50,000 salary for just over one monthâs work, with the tournament set to be held between June 11 and July 19.

The role will require the individual to watch the games from within a custom-made viewing space which will be set up within Times Square. From there, they will also be tasked with acting as a content creator for social media, âShowing theyâre the authority in watching and cheering for every minute of World Cup action.â
In the announcement video, it was explained that âThousands of people will watch you watching soccer. They will applaud you. They will judge you.
âQualifications: You love watching sports for an uncomfortable amount of time. You have a social presence, meaning you love to be on camera, create fun content, and you posted something, and at least one person said, âLOL.â And you're comfortable being stared at. Like, aquarium level stared at.â
In a statement, FOX Sportsâ President of Marketing, Robert Gottlieb, said, âThis FIFA World Cup will be a historic tournament that calls for an equally historic hire. One engaged applicant will get the job of a lifetime to experience and celebrate every story, every nation and every exhilarating moment that defines the beautiful game.â
Those who are interested in the role simply need to apply online and share a video along with the caption â#ChiefWorldCupWatcher,â demonstrating why they are the ideal candidate.
This latest hire will join FOXâs already unveiled broadcasting team, which includes the likes of Landon Donovan, Owen Hargreaves, and Rob Green.
As for the networkâs analysts, FOX will boast numerous famous faces, including Thierry Henry, Clarence Seedorf, Javier HernĂĄndez, Zlatan IbrahimoviÄ, and Peter Schmeichel.
The latterâs addition was only announced on Tuesday, with the Manchester United legend stating, âIâm so happy to be joining the FOX Sports team again for this special FIFA World Cup and canât wait for the opening match on June 11.
âBetween all the fans that will be present and the amazing atmospheres, Iâm looking forward to experiencing everything the tournament brings with it and sharing my insights with viewers.â
The tournament will begin when Mexico takes on South Africa at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on June 11, with co-hosts America and Canada taking to the field for the first time the following day. The U.S. Menâs National team will host Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, whilst Canada will face Bosnia and Herzegovina at BMO Field in Toronto.
The Chief World Cup Watcher will be responsible for watching all 104 FIFA World Cup games from a custom viewing space in Times Square.
