Jamie Carragher laid into Chelsea for individual mistakes at half time. At full time, he was able to take aim at the whole project.
âItâs shocking and it comes from the top,â the pundit said on Sky Sports.
âThereâs five or six really top players on the pitch today and theyâve been beaten by Nottingham Forestâs B team. Less than 12 months ago, they were taking PSG to the cleaners.â
The decline truly is start. Carragher dug into where he thought it came from.
âThereâs no connection between the players and the staff, the players and the fans.
âIn some ways, itâs a good thing [for the game in general] because it tells you that football isnât just all about spending money, buying players and this revolving door. Itâs about creating togetherness and thereâs nothing there. They look like a broken football club right now.â
Does anyone disagree with that? Weâve been saying it for a long time, the connection with the ownership and their project has simply never existing, and every passing week we get further from rebuilding it.
