Von Miller shared an Instagram story featuring himself in a Broncos uniform, sparking speculation about his future. He expressed a desire to return to Denver, either as a player or in an executive role.
It appears that Von Miller may be feeling nostalgic — or hinting at his next career move.
The former Denver Broncos pass rusher took to social media early Tuesday morning to share a photo on his Instagram story showing himself in a Broncos uniform. Miller picked "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins as the song for his post, which includes "I've been waiting for this moment for all my life."
Miller, 37, has repeatedly said he would like to return to Denver to finish his career with the Broncos, but the team has a deep outside linebacker room. Miller could, in theory, sign a one-day contract to retire as a Bronco, but he wants to play another season.
If not as a player, Miller is also open to returning to the club as an executive. He has already started taking steps toward becoming a future general manager, and Miller has not ruled out the possibility of returning to Denver in a front office role.
A two-time Super Bowl champion and a one-time Super Bowl MVP, Miller ranks ninth on the NFL's official all-time sack list with 138.5. He set a Broncos franchise record with 110.5 sacks during his time in Denver.
