The Denver Broncos came so close to a Super Bowl appearance during the 2025 season. If it weren't for a brutally unlucky Bo Nix injury, they likely would've beaten the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game.
But now, the focus is on returning to the playoffs in 2026. And to do so, the Broncos will need a healthy Bo Nix for all of the 2026 season.
Fortunately, according to CBS Sports' Carter Bahns, the Broncos got some welcome news on Nix courtesy of Sean Payton.
"Sean Payton said there is a 'good chance' Bo Nix will be back on the field for the team's minicamp in mid-June and will be a full participant in training camp in late July," Bahns writes.
This update from Payton is exactly what Broncos fans have been hoping to hear this offseason on their franchise quarterback. Nix looks like he's going to be good to go, not just for the regular season, but well before that.

Hearing that Nix is ready to come back for the regular season is some great news on its own. That's not been a question, but it's still a noteworthy update on his injury recovery.
And the more important development this time is that Nix is expected back for not just the July training camp, but the June minicamp as well.
Even though it might not be at a full capacity, having Nix out there will be huge for this team heading into 2026. The reason? Jaylen Waddle.
After spending a first-round pick and more on Waddle, being able to have him catch passes from Nix during the lead-up to the season will be paramount.
That duo building up a rapport is important, and this update from Payton indicates that the Broncos' new top WR will have the chance to work with Nix this season.
