
The Denver Broncos are exploring additional running back options after re-signing J.K. Dobbins, hosting Indiana's Kaelon Black and Virginia's JāMari Taylor for pre-draft visits. Both players are projected as late-round picks in the upcoming NFL draft.
After re-signing veteran J.K. Dobbins during NFL free agency, the Denver Broncos appear to still be in the market to add another running back. That addition could arrive during the NFL draft later this month.
Indiana running back Kaelon Black had a pre-draft visit with the Broncos last week, his agency announced. Black (5-9, 208 pounds) rushed for 1,040 yards and 10 touchdowns in 16 games with the national champions last season.Ā NFL mock drafts have Black projected as a Day 3 prospect. Black will turn 25 in December.
Meanwhile, Virginia running back JāMari Taylor said at his pro day last month that he had upcoming visits or meetings with six teams, including the Broncos. Taylor (5-10, 199 pounds) earned first-team All-ACC honors last fall after rushing for 1,062 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 games with the Cavaliers. Before that, Taylor spent five years at North Carolina Central. He's entering the NFL draft as a 24-year-old rookie. Mock drafts have him projected as a late-round pick.
FollowingĀ theĀ Jaylen Waddle trade last month, DenverĀ holds seven picksĀ in the 2026 NFL draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh from April 23-25.
