Following the 2026 NFL draft last month, the Denver Broncos initially reached agreements with 14 undrafted free agents. However, when the Broncos officially announced their UDFAs last Friday, only 13 players signed.
The 14th player was Charlotte wide receiver Sean Brown, who was not signed ahead of rookie minicamp. Brown (6-4, 200 pounds) underwent surgery for a Jones fracture earlier this year and he did not pass a physical examination, according to the Denver Post's Luca Evans.
The rookie receiver played at UNC Pembroke (2019-2020) before transferring to Charlotte in 2022. Playing for college football's 49ers, Brown hauled in 36 receptions for 508 yards and one touchdown last fall. It's possible that the Broncos might consider signing Brown later this year after he has completely recovered from the foot injury.
Denver did sign four other undrafted receivers: Northern Arizona's Kolbe Katsis, Virginia's Cam Ross, TCU's Joseph Manjack and Nebraska's Dane Key (the brother of safety Devon Key).
