Event scheduled for May 7-10, 2026
Opposite-field tournaments have total purses of $4 million
The second opposite-field event of 2026 has added a big name. Brooks Koepka, who returned to the PGA Tour from LIV Golf earlier this year, has committed to the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic.
The event is scheduled for May 7-10, the same dates as the Truist Championship at Quail Hollow Club, a signature event. The Truist will be the second consecutive signature event, following this week's Cadillac Championship. As of Wednesday, Koepka is the second alternate for the Cadillac but he's opting to take a guaranteed tee time next week.

While the signature events feature $20 million purses and $3.6 million first-place checks ($4 million for the player-hosted ones), opposite-field tournaments (the PGA Tour calls them "additional events") like the ONEflight have total purses of $4 million and first-place winnings of $720,000. Further, winning an opposite-field event does mean a two-year exemption, like any other Tour win. Winning one of these also means entry into the next Players Championship.
Koepka has made eight starts in 2026 and has a tie for ninth at the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches, a tie for 12th at the Masters, a tie for 13th at the Players and a tie for 18th at the Valspar. Koepka and teammate Shane Lowry missed the cut at the Zurich Classic last week.
“Having Brooks Koepka commit to the Oneflight Myrtle Beach Classic is a tremendous moment for our tournament and our community,” said Darren Nelson, tournament director. “He’s one of the most accomplished players of his generation, and his presence speaks to the continued momentum of this event on the PGA Tour calendar.”
Ryan Fox won the 2025 Oneflight event with Harry Higgs, Mackenzie Hughes, Kevin Yu and Niklas Norgaard rounding out the top five finishers.
