Speculation swirled for months that the Cleveland Browns were in line to face off with the New Orleans Saints in the NFL's first-ever international game in Paris, France.
Evidently, that won't actually be the case. With the league slated to drop the entire 2026 schedule on Thursday, the leaks are underway and according to one well-known schedule leaker on X, it will actually be the Browns' top rival, the Pittsburgh Steelers, who face the Saints in Paris in Week 7.
Cleveland.com has since confirmed the leaked information as accurate, after French radio network RMC had falsly reported Cleveland as the featured opponent for New Orleans back in February.
Even though the Browns weren't selected to be the Saints opponents in Paris, there was still a chance they'd end up with at least one international game on their schedule next year with the Jacksonville Jaguars on the schedule.
The Jags will actually play back-to-back games in London in Weeks 5 and 6 this upcoming season. According to the schedule leaks, however, Cleveland is not one of the teams that will make the trip across the pond to face Jacksonville. Their opponents are expected to be the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans.
The NFL has been slowly unveiling its international matchups in the lead-up to Thursday's overarching schedule reveal, with the full slate of those games expected to be shared Wednesday morning.
The Browns were initially speculated to face the Saints, but it has been confirmed that the Pittsburgh Steelers will be the actual opponents.
The first NFL game in Paris is scheduled for October 25, 2026.
French radio network RMC falsely reported that the Browns would face the Saints, which was later corrected by reliable sources.

All three of the Browns AFC North rivals are included in the nine-game slate, which opens Week 1 with Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers meeting in a first-of-its-kind matchup in Melbourne, Australia.
The full slate is expected to look like this:
All signs point to the Browns not making an international trip this season. Cleveland made just its second appearance in an international game in 2025, making a trip to London in Week 4 to host the Minnesota Vikings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. It lost the game 21-17.
The Browns' first-ever appearance on the international stage also came in London back in 2017, ironically, against the Vikings. They lost that matchup as well 33-16, making their record in games outside the country 0-2 at this point.
While Cleveland won't leave the U.S. for a game in 2026, they are bound to be back in the rotation soon enough. The NFL's international initiatives remain a top priority, with the schedule seemingly expanding every year, with matchups in new countries added annually.
All 32 teams' schedules will be formally revealed around 8 p.m. on Thursday, but the leaks will undoubtedly continue beforehand.
