There's nothing deeper than a long-standing rivalry, and former Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is feeling that today.
After getting drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers and staying in Pennsylvania, the Cleveland Browns fan didn't seem too excited for his Welcome to the NFL moment on Friday night.
Allar reached forward and grabbed the Steelers hat but appeared to be soaking up the news while not putting on the hat. Life came at the signal-caller fast without warning.
"Allar was born in Brunswick and grew up in Medina, about a 40-minute drive from Cleveland. Notably, he grew up a massive Cleveland Browns fan and was in a family that held season tickets," according to Cleveland.com.
Ready or not, Allar steps into his first NFL situation and will look to impress. Former Ohio Mr. Football will be competition with Will Howard, NFL journeyman Mason Rudolph and potentially Aaron Rodgers, who has dodged retirement for years.
