The Cleveland Browns won't ever stop doing weird quarterback things.
A year ago, they picked Dillon Gabriel super early, then took Shedeur Sanders 50 picks after him.
They had already brought in veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, so their QB room made no sense pretty much the entire season.
This year, they bring back Deshaun Watson. He might start. Shedeur might start. Gabriel might be on his way out?
Well, that could be the case after the first pick of the sixth round of the 2026 NFL Draft: At No. 182 overall, the Browns took QB Taylen Green out of Arkansas.
Yep, it's weird.

Green is an incredible athlete, and maybe they see him as more than just a traditional quarterback.
But is there even room for him in the quarterback room?
There will be a lot of questions for front office leader Andrew Berry on this one.
Cleveland appears to be just taking all the swings it can at the quarterback position, but the harsh reality is this: They've had more than 40 starting QBs since 1999. That list is only going to grow.
Maybe by the end of this season, Green puts his name onto it, too.

And 2027 looms. It's a big-time QB draft class. It might be the one where the Browns use a first-round pick to hopefully find an answer.
For now, Green joins the mix of quite the quarterback room, and yes, it's confusing and a bit weird.
