The Cleveland Browns have made it a priority to improve on the offensive side of the football during the 2026 NFL Draft, and did that in the first round with their first pick by selecting Spencer Fano, an offensive tackle out of the University of Utah.

Fano will have some questions in the NFL, just like everybody else, but his are a bit different from those of some other players.

Insiders are questioning whether he’s actually a left tackle, as there have been concerns about whether he can move to another position during the draft process.

“Biggest question: Is Fano's future actually at LT? Throughout the draft process, there has been speculation that Fano could move inside to guard or tackle because of his sub-33-inch arm length. Cleveland has added a pair of interior linemen this offseason (Elgton Jenkins and Zion Johnson) but only one offensive tackle (Tytus Howard),” Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN wrote.

Right now, I don't think it's too big of a deal if Fano doesn't have an exact spot on the field, as long as he's able to do what's needed to be suitable at one of them. It's obvious that the young man has a lot of talent, so being versatile can actually be a good thing for this organization and himself moving forward.
