Browns' Harold Fannin Jr. faces pivotal Todd Monken question ahead of year two

While Fannin thrived under Kevin Stefanski, Monken's offense might not feature tight end usage as much. While Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely weren't terrible for the Baltimore Ravens under Monken, they didn't compare to what Fannin did in year one.

He put together a great season, catching 72 passes for 731 yards and six touchdowns, already outproducing the best season a tight end had under Monken in Baltimore.

With Monken coming to Cleveland, his offense will look a good bit different than Stefanski's. It's fair to have some big questions regarding Fannin's usage, as Monken might not use him as much as he did last year.

There's no question about Fannin's talent, as he's one of the best young tight ends in the NFL. However, if Monken can tap into how he coached Brock Bowers at Georgia, then the Browns' second-year tight end might be in store for another big season.

Monken would be foolish not to use Fannin in the offense in 2026, so, while this question will go unanswered until the season begins, fans shouldn't stress too much, as not using their star tight end would be a fireable offense for Monken.
