The Cleveland Browns only have to get it right two or three times on Day 1 of the 2026 NFL draft. A trade down with the Dallas Cowboys could give GM Andrew Berry an extra shot at making a great decision in the first round of this year’s draft, or the Browns could go into full reset mode (with or without that trade) over the next month and a half.
As fans continue to debate, discuss, and argue about whether Cleveland should be looking to select an offensive tackle or a wide receiver with their first pick in this year’s draft, other teams are looking at the same positions. There are now rumors that WR Jordyn Tyson could be the first player selected at his position and that seven or eight offensive tackles could go in the first 20 picks.

The good news for the Browns is that there are good options at both positions. While everyone has already decided that (insert prospect name) is great and (insert another prospect name) is a terrible selection, the depth in this year’s draft at both positions are exciting.
According to the Consensus Big Board, there are seven offensive tackles ranked inside the Top 30:
There are some high upside guys, like Markell Bell and Dametrious Crownover, outside of the Top 30, that could hold some intrigue on Day 2 of the draft as well.
If you include TE Kenyon Sadiq (many do), there are also seven receivers inside of the Top 30:
So, while we can have a lot of fun arguing about what prospects we like best, the consensus is that there are 14 players at Cleveland’s two biggest positions of need who should be selected on Thursday night. Now, Berry just has to pick the right ones, in the right order, from those who are left by the time the Browns get on the board.
