And that quarterback would be Deshaun Watson.
Cleveland dot com's Mary Kay Cabot has stated that Watson has the "inside track" to win the job over Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel, and the newly-added Green.
Here is what Cabot had to say on the Browns' quarterback battle with three months to go until training camp:
"Deshaun Watson emerged from the Browns voluntary minicamp last week with an edge over Shedeur Sanders in the two-man quarterback competition ā and has the inside track to be named the Browns QB1"
Cabot added that head coach Todd Monken wants to name his starting quarterback ahead of the Browns' June minicamp, and that Sanders "will have to dazzle" in order to make up ground in Cleveland's quarterback battle.
This is a pretty substantial report from Cabot that will send shockwaves through the fanbase and Cleveland's season.
