The Cleveland Browns' offseason with new head coach Todd Monken has gotten off to a positive start, as the franchise looks to get out of the NFL doldrums.
With the Browns' quarterback situation taking all of the headlines, naturally, others get left behind, and it can be easy to forget that Cleveland has a first-round receiver now in its ranks with KC Concepcion.
Monken, who has worked with the Baltimore Ravens for the past couple of seasons, has worked with a host of star-studded players, and one was receiver Zay Flowers.
And Monken, in what was a bit surprising, states that Concepcion has traits similar to Flowers'.
"There are some traits that are similar to [Flowers]," Monken said via ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi. "But I love when people spoke about KC, it reminded me of Zay in that, in terms of how he practiced, what he brings in every day. And if you're looking for that comparison, that I can compare, I believe he's going to bring that like Zay did."
Todd Monken made a stunning comparison regarding rookie wide receiver KC Concepcion, highlighting his potential.
KC Concepcion is a first-round rookie wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns, expected to contribute significantly to the team's offense.
Before joining the Cleveland Browns, Todd Monken was the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens, where he worked with several star players.

In truth, that is putting a little bit of pressure on the rookie's shoulders, as he is still figuring out this NFL thing in his first offseason.
But if Monken sees similar traits in Concepion that he did with Flowers, then that gives us a little indication of how the rookie could be used in his offense.
Granted, we aren't expecting too much in his rookie season, and given it's in Cleveland's offense, but it is a little feather in the cap of Concepion. He has a baseline that Monken has for him, and it is something to work with.
Will he be the next Flowers? It is too early to tell, but it's not a bad comparison for the rookie.
