Boston acquired Reichel on March 6 from the Vancouver Canucks for a 2026 sixth-round pick. It was a low-risk move from the Bruins to acquire a former first-round pick who is now on his third NHL team.
Reichel appeared in 29 games this season between Boston, Vancouver, and the Chicago Blackhawks, recording three goals and five assists for eight points. With the Bruins, he recorded one goal and two assists for three points in 10 games as he averaged 12:49 of ice time. He also appeared in one playoff game for Boston.
